As spring finally arrives, we, the Soma team, are excited to launch a series of collaborations in contemporary art. Each time, the restaurant's space will be transformed completely by the works of contemporary artists. The approach will always depend on the subjective perspective of our art partners, who will interpret the project's concept and history. Any work from the exhibition can be purchased for your personal collection.
We look forward to welcoming you to Petrovsky Boulevard, 14
Soma × Deep List
8.03 — 12.04
At the launch, we teamed up with the new Deep List project — a project for selecting contemporary art by Ira Shulzhenko and Dasha Yartseva, who have rethought gallery strategies and collecting opportunities.
"Our internal goal was not so much a curatorial statement as working with the space, which on the one hand has a rich history, and on the other hand, a "blank" architectural solution. By the way, Tchaikovsky celebrated his wedding here, Dostoevsky - his birthday, and Maxim Gorky - the premiere of his play "The Lower Depths". We wanted to incorporate not only artworks suitable in color and plasticity but also art of special temporality that refers to both the past and the future, into the existing elements (vaulted ceilings, arches, brickwork, division into the "Hall of the Past" and the "Hall of the Future")".
The founders of the Deep List project are Irina Shulzhenko and Daria Yartseva
